'Genelia D'Souza is married to John Abraham'

Pandit Bhagwat Guruji's stubbornness might cost Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza their marriage plans. The Hindu priest insists the lovebirds cannot take saat pheras anytime soon. 

Apparently, the priest got Genelia married to co-star John Abraham while they were shooting for Nishikant Kamat's Force. He says he forgot the camera was rolling and read out the actual wedding mantras while the pair was shooting a wedding scene! Now, the pandit has parked himself at producer Vipul Shah's office demanding to meet with Genelia to explain the situation.

A source reveals, "There's a scene in Force where the lead pair get married. Instead of a junior artiste, they called a real pandit for the scene." Following the reports of Riteish and Genelia planning marriage, Bhagwat landed up at the producer's office to register a complaint. "He insisted that she couldn't get married as she was already married to John!"

Pandit Bhagwat says he was asked to perform the rituals authentically by director Nishikant Kamat. "John and Genelia are husband and wife," he says, adding, "I need to make them understand that I have pronounced the mantras one does at a real wedding. Everything from wearing a mangalsutra, to exchanging garlands and taking the saat pheras has been done."

Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah says, "The pandit is now mad at us for getting him involved in this scene. He's treating it like a real wedding, but I want to make him understand that that's not the case. In my entire career, I've never experienced anything of this sort!"

My life's not worth-telling: Amitabh

The neon-lit streets of Ahmedabad wear a mint fresh look with the first rain of the season. There is a flurry of activity inside the swanky hotel playing host to superstar Amitabh Bachchan. 

But the restlessness in the air almost magically settles down when he enters into the room for an interview. It's difficult to miss the spring in his step.

Even after a hectic day, he looks dapper in a cream suit. He settles down on the sofa and laughs when one says to him that "Oh, you brought the rains to Ahmedabad." He says, "Ya, I have just put that on my twitter and my blog." And then you tell him, "you must come to Gujarat more often." He laughs heartily, "Ya, I am coming back to Gujarat soon for the next round shooting of Khushboo Gujarat ki campaign." As a brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism, he feels a sense of affinity with the state and "enjoyed visiting the Gandhi Ashram and Rann of Kutch." 

He is an actor with an eye for detail. So, before posing for the photo op, he asks in his baritone, "where are the flowers? Who has moved the vase? Bring it back fast." For a moment you forget that he's the legend, the superstar whom millions across the globe love, adore and worship. The flowers are back on the table and only then he poses for the camera. 

Four decades of weaving sheer magic on the silver screen and yet he's going strong with people flocking multiplexes to see Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap. Today, his challenges are different. Ask him about the changes in Hindi film industry and he says, "Technology and speed of communication are the biggest changes in today's times. Acceleration defines the way we talk, the way we think. So, films are now psychologically designed to keep up with the changing times." His hands move effortlessly as he tries to make a point and he says, "Today's generation is impatient. You might tell them 10 sentences but in the end they will just say, "Ya cool." Films, television, internet — everything has changed for the quicker version." In the age of 'speed communication', Bachchan does long for the earlier years of his career when 'there was poetry in dialogues and lyrics." 

In an age of teasers and promos, even a legend like him can't escape the process of doing publicity campaigns. So, how does he deal with it? He admits, "Yes, I feel strange to promote a film. But I have to do it. Publicity is a necessity now. If you are going to watch a film in a multiplex along with your family, you got to spend a lot of money. Gone are the days, when we used to spend 'athhani' for front seat and 'do rupiya' for balcony. So, audiences also want to make a choice before actually watching a film." 
At the same time, even after illustrious years in the industry, he's unable to understand the pulse of the audiences, "I wish I had understood what exactly clicks with audiences. Then I would have given only hit and hits," he says with a laugh. 

He sounds almost like an economist when he dissects the dynamics of film-making, "The amount of money involved is huge now. So, the first weekend is very crucial for every film. Everybody wants to recover their money." Then he asks, "When did you last hear of a film celebrating golden jubilee? Everything now comes and goes in a flash." 

He can definitely put Generation Z to shame by his sheer energy and the ability to multi-task. "I flow with life. My craft is related to people. Like a sportsperson, I will work till my body allows me to do," says Bachchan. He adds with a laugh, "I am no management guru." 

It's easy to notice his flair for words. His tweets, blogs, conversations are all testimony to it. And he has an enviable life. So will he tell it all in an autobiography? "No. My life is not worth-telling." On that note of modesty, the conversation ends. But then Amitabh Bachchan is someone who even has a monopoly over modesty.

Aniston opens up about split from Brad Pitt

Former 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston has opened up about her break-up with ex-husband Brad Pitt, and how she came about to star in the hit movie 'The Break-Up'. 

Aniston, 42, who had gone through her own, well publicized, high profile break-up, revealed her feelings about the movie to James Lipton for an upcoming episode of the 'Inside The Actors Studio'. 

"It was just a beautiful story about a couple breaking-up. And I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue," Radar online quoted Aniston as saying. 

"And I sort of honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exercise some of that. 

"And I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it. You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, 'I don't know if we should ask you to do this,' but I was like, why not? Turn the page, let's move on," she said. 

Aniston went on to admit that she was aware of Pitt's attraction to his 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' co-star Angelina Jolie, with whom he now has six children, but she insisted that she didn't blame Jolie for the split. 

"It's just complicated. There are all these levels of growth - and when you stop growing together, that's when the problems happen," she stated.

Paris Hilton urges stalker to stay away from her

Paris Hilton has opened about her obsessed fan who was arrested outside her beachfront home on Independence Day (04Jul11).

The socialite branded the man a 'creep' and urged him to leave her alone, reports the Daily Express.

Hilton was enjoying the holiday festivities at her house in Malibu, California when cops were alerted to a man sitting on the beach outside, peering into her home.

James Rainford was detained on suspicion of breaching a restraining order, which bans him from going within 200 yards (183 m) of the star, and she watched from her balcony as he was bundled away in a squad car.

Hilton has now written about the incident on her Twitter.com page, imploring the man to stay away from her.

She wrote, "My stalker needs to leave me alone... Creep."

Timberlake,Jessica Beil together again

Former couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Beilis reportedly giving their relationship another chance. 

"Timberlake, 30, and Biel, 29, are quietly seeing each other again", usmagazine.com quoted a source as saying. 

"They have been talking the whole time and decided to give it another shot. Jessica really wanted to get back together with him and Justin realized single life is not what it's cracked up to be," the source added. 

But another insider said reconciliation won't be easy, adding, "they're just spending time together and taking things slowly".

No fallout between Jacqueline and Bhatts

Phew, it looks like Mahesh Bhatt, known for his fiercely blatant statements, is at it again. While talking to zoOm about the boldness of his films, Bhatt said, "We sell sex and we're unapologetic about it." 

Continuing his fiery confessions, he slammed all rumours of a fall-out between Jacqueline Fernandez and his production house, and said, "Jacqueline is a very talented girl. Impressed by her professionalism, we have decided to repeat her in one of our premium brands, Raaz 3, with Emraan", he told us. While Bhatt and Emraan are busy promoting Murder 2, Jackie has taken off toLondon for Housefull 2. When asked about the glam quotient missing in the promotions, Mahesh Bhatt said, "She belongs to the industry, not my production house. She has the right to work with filmmakers who line up for her and I can't restrict her to my films". Ali Zafar's popularity irks Ranveer Singh

It was the one that got away that got Ranveer Singh's goat. The year 2010 was his year. Comparisons to Ranbir Kapoor, the best newcomer awards galore and praise from Karan Johar came his way. But it was the public vote that went against him. The Times Hottest New Face 2010 — Male result crowned a new face that wasn't him, but Ali Zafar. 

Conducted on www.iTimes.com/polls over almost two months, the poll garnered lakhs of votes withTere Bin Laden hottie Ali Zafar topping the list. The hot debut, his chocolate boy looks and a singing voice to boot got a popular film banner's attention. The banner even signed the crooner for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, passing up on their other discovery, Ranveer.

If that wasn't enough, he was quite keen about the results of the iTimes poll and expected his film's better box office run to see him through. Call it blindness or plain oversight, he failed to see that the sole requirement was a 'hotness quotient', something fans found the Pakistani singer had in a greater abundance than the Band Baaja Baaraat boy. Tough pill to swallow, but he should have taken the loss in his stride. Not one of his strengths, obviously. Singh was upset with the result and even told a zoOm reporter as much in a verbal outburst.

Sonakshi Sinha, the star of last year's biggest hit Dabangg, was expected to top her list too but didn't. She was more graceful in defeat. Wish Ranveer, who hangs out with Sinha a lot these days, would take a cue from her and stop being such a sore loser!

Emraan's Hashmi's wife is his biggest critic

Over the years, Emraan Hashmi has become synonymous with grey characters that seek retribution in some form or the other. In Vishesh Films' Murder 2, he plays a romantic lover who battles his inner demons. 

The actor says even though he's open to playing all kinds of characters and films, he's always been more attracted to the thriller genre. 

Talking about his affinity to scary films, Emraan says, "I've always been a huge fan of thrillers like David Fincher's Se7en. I am fascinated by the disturbing, dark underbelly of life. I find such films deeply engrossing. They delve deep into the human psyche and that's a place worth exploring." 

Even though the reward of such films is huge, the actor feels playing dark characters can be exhausting. "It is emotionally draining. And since I bounce from one film to another, there's no time to really relax and take it easy. Murder 2 is a film that I would have watched even if I was not part of it. It's fastpaced and will grab your attention from the very first frame." 

Does the actor's wife Parveen have any say in the kind of roles he does? He says, "She's one of my biggest critics. Even though she doesn't tell me what films to do, her opinion is pretty clear." Obviously, his one-year-old son Ayaan doesn't know about the adult themes in his father's films. "My films will look like fairytales by the time he grows up and starts watching cinema," he quips. 

His uncle and mentor Mahesh Bhatt adds, "Emraan is a complete hero in this movie, for the first time. He goes through all the four seasons of ups, downs, good and bad. In fact, he has outdone himself. I am super confident about the film." 

Amitabh Bachchan follows Aamir

Talking about Aamir, only the 'Baap of Bollywood' can think about beating this man at his own game. Yeah, it's Amitabh Bachchan. 

While the box-office war between Delhi Belly andBbuddah Hoga Terra Baap was heating up by the day, Big B decided to use AK's own strategy to compete with his film. Rewind to the year 2008, when Aamir paid ticket vendors at the box offices to shave their heads, Ghajini style, to give SRK's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi a tough run. During the screening of DB, the multiplex staff was seen sporting a tee that read "Thoda Action Thoda Jackson" (lines from the 'Bbuddah...' title track). Smart move, eh? But well, AK's production turned out to be Bbuddah's baap at the B.O.

On the sets of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Katrina Kaif was anything but the diva. She even turned into a sweeper! Believe it or not, it's true dearies, and her co-star Abhay was the one who exposed her unseen avatar. 

"She was a labourer on the sets. Sometimes she even dressed like one." On the same note, trying hard to keep a straight face, Kat added, "Yes, I'm a labourer, I would arrive on the sets one hour before the boys, clean the floors, and polish the car for Hrithik sir, Farhan sir and Abhay sir. Abhay Deol plans to elope...

While there is news of Genelia-Riteish, amdZaheer-Isha tying the knot, Abhay Deol makes no bones about flaunting his 'bachelor boy' status, and proudly so. 

He might be open about his girlfriend, but he's far from walking down the aisle. While talking to zoOm, he revealed, "I don't believe in the concept of marriage and larger than life weddings. I'd rather ask my girl to elope and get married. And if she insists on a big wedding I'd call it quits." Hmnnn... recently Aamir said that he would tie Salman down and get him married. We wonder if there's anyone in B-town who would dare to do the same with this Deol boy. Maybe his Sunny bhaiyya or even Bobby Deol who are both happily married, can get him to change his mind.

Kareena cut short her holiday for Salman

Kareena Kapoor had to cut short her Paris holiday with Saif Ali Khan by a day. 

Sources say Bebo had promised the "Bodyguard" unit, especially Salman Khan, that she would be back in time. "The Patiala leg of "Bodyguard" was running out of schedule. 

Salman pitched in and asked Bebo to join. She took a Delhi-bound flight from Paris, from there she travelled to Chandigarh and then to Patiala. She was tired from all that travelling, but managed to head for the shoot," a source says.

Last week, gossip mills in B-Town went into overdrive when a website reported: "The twice-married NRI businessman of a hot Bollywood actress, who has been visiting a London-based hair transplant clinic to prepare for his hair graft surgery, gifted the clinic assistant a European holiday following which she never resumed work . 

The actress is a well-known name in London after winning the TV reality series Big Brother, where she was reportedly subjected to racist remarks. The source of this news is apparently a doctor of a London-based hair transplant clinic where the clinic associate worked." 

It was clear that the actress being talked about wasShilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. The couple, who are currently holidaying in New York, clear the air... 

What Raj says: It's a false story spread by the doctor of the clinic the girl used to work in. He's extremely miffed that his assistant left him to work for me, and so he's been spreading rubbish. Also the doctor, his clinic and the girl are based in Dubai, not London. When I first met the doctor at hs clinic, he started boasting about his powerful clients (including politicians, B-Town stars and businessmen). I found that strange as client confidentiality is very important in such things. When I asked one of his assistants to recommend someone as my Executive Assistant to accompany me on my trips, she told me she was looking for a job as she wanted to leave the clinic. I said I would offer her a full-time job after a month's trial and took her on. She was good so I hired her. She's been working for me for the last three months. 

What Shilpa says: The rumour is so ridiculous that we are not even interested in clarifying it. We are currently holidaying in the USA and all we've done is laugh over the rumour. But the poor assistant was so upset when the reports came out that she called us in panic, fretting about how she would face her family and friends! I think people are just envious of our happiness and the fact that we still love each as much as we did when we got married. The doctor has been planting gossip about us because his assistant left him to join Raj — something that upset him a lot. I've met the assistant in Dubai and she's a very sweet girl.

Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckhamhas described husband David as her soul mate and an amazing father. 

The former Spice Girl, who is expecting a daughter with the soccer superstar, says her love for David has grown even more since they got married 12 years ago, reports femalefirst.co.uk. "I love David for David. He's my soul mate, my number one. He's the most amazing husband, father, he's talented, he's kind. He ticks all the boxes. Nicolas Cage's son arrested

Actor Nicolas Cage's son Weston and his wife Nikki Williams have been arrested on felony and domestic violence charges. 

Weston had an altercation with Williams, which resulted in sustaining a cut on his arm with a bottle and her threatening to jump off a balcony, contactmusic.com reports. Police arrested them at their Los Angeles apartment. Their bail was set at $50,000, but so far only Weston has managed to post a bond and be released. As he emerged from the police station, Weston showed his bleeding arm to photographers and said: "I'm not OK, man. Don't get married."

Liz Hurley to join 'Gossip Girl'

British actress Elizabeth Hurley is all set to join the cast of the hit American show 'Gossip Girl' as a sexy, smart and self-made media mogul.
According to TV Line, the actress would be in be playing the role Diana Payne and would appear in a number of episodes for the fifth series of the show.
Executive producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran have said that Hurley's character is "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with".
"Diana's entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters - including, and especially Gossip Girl herself," the Daily Mail quoted the executive producers as telling TV Line.
"Elizabeth's sense of humour, intelligence and beauty fit the GG world perfectly. We feel very fortunate to have her," they added.

There is a hidden tapori in Ranbir: Director

Vikas Bahl, co-director of 'Chillar Party', speaks at length about Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan and the fate of children's film in India. 

In a film industry where children's films are still a rarity, it's heartwarming to see a seemingly genuine film like Chillar Party come once in a while. "We didn't start with an agenda to make a film with kids per se. It is a story which came to us and we liked it", says Vikas Bahl, the co-director of the film. "Nevertheless, I personally believe that heroism as a child is much powerful as compared to that with adults". 

While shooting with kids is not a child's play, Vikas says, if planned well it can be a delightful experience. "We had a month-long workshop with kids but we didn't try to train them, as such, in acting. We just wanted them to be comfortable and natural in front of the camera and gave them basic tips on how to walk up to the mark, how to follow the camera without shifting their eyes and things like that". 

Getting the correct cast for the film was another task. "We auditioned around 8000 kids over a span of two months to get the 10 kids we wanted for our film. We wanted first-timers and most of the kids are not fromMumbai". And while the filmmaker insists that they have tried to make a fun film, he wouldn't mind the audiences walking away with a social message conveyed subtly in the film. 

Vikas Bahl who has worked as the creative producer on films like Udaan, Dev.D and No One Killed Jessicahas written and co-directed the film with Nitesh Tiwari. Perhaps the only other director-duo in Bollywood apart from Abbas-Mustan and Krishna DK-Raj Nidimoru, Vikas says it is only possible if you trust your partner and are not insecure. "Nitesh is confident, secure person and a great writer. So it helped working with him. We had creative differences but only during the writing phase. All of that was sorted and once we started shooting, it was a smooth ride". 

Ask him how Ranbir Kapoor came into the picture and he says, "Ranbir saw the film and liked it. He volunteered to do anything to support this film. I always thought there is a hidden tapoori in Ranbir so we requested him to do an item number. In fact, nowadays even kids have realized how item numbers make a film popular, which is what we have tried to show in the music video". 

However Vikas Bahl says he never dreamt that Salman Khan would be associated with his film that too in the capacity of a producer. "The kids in the film very much carry the attitude of Salman Khan. They are fearless and big-hearted. That's the reason Salman connected with it so easily", says Vikas. Ask him about rumours that Salman wanted the Ranbir Kapoor item song to be edited out and he says, "If Salman didn't want the Ranbir Kapoor item song, it would not have been in the film. It's as simple as that". 

With names like Salman and Ranbir associated with the project, this modest-budget film has got more face value. "Every film needs a marketing idea which makes it big. We are fortunate that we got Salman and Ranbir to market it for us", says Vikas candidly. 

Ask him if a big-budget children's film on the scale of Harry Potter is ever possible in India, the filmmaker explains the business of cinema saying, "When Hollywood makes a children-fantasy film, it has audiences from across the world. If we make such a film in India, the audience is only restricted to the Hindi belt. So there is a restriction in terms of the revenue opportunities and thereby the budget of such films is not as huge in India. But I do think things should change in the near future". 

While the film is yet to release, Vikas has already received his best compliment. "On watching the film, Salim (Khan) sir said 'I wish I had written this film'. That I believe is the biggest compliment", signs off the filmmaker.

Hrithik, Katrina kissed. So what?: Zoya

Much is being said about the Hrithik Roshan,Katrina Kaif kiss. While some say that the sensuous kiss has been edited from the film Zindagi na Milegi Dobaara, Zoya Akhtar dismisses any such rumour. 

Zoya said, "Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif kissed. So what? They play friends who fall in love, and it's only natural. And no, the scene has not been cut or toned down, and is very much part of the movie."

So did Katrina Kaif or Hrithik Roshan request for the same to be deleted? "ot at all," she frowns, "They are professionals. They knew they had to do it. They didn't mind doing it for the film; that's how actors ought to be. They didn't make it a big deal either, I don't know why the media is making it one."

So, there will be that much talked oomphy scene in Zindagi na Milegi Dobaara, and Zoya and her cast and crew are going to do anything but shy away from it. 

'Serial kisser' tag a real pain: Emraan

He's busy visiting cities promoting his forthcoming release "Murder 2". A part of the original franchise,Emraan Hashmi describes the film as 'edgy and twisted' with a pace that will keep you involved right from the beginning. 

Known to play real and flawed characters, he adds that Mohit Suri's film continues the streak giving him a chance to play yet another interesting role. Here, he essays the role of a man everyone can identify with. 

Ask him about the popular 'serial kisser' tag and he shrugs it off calling it a label he no longer identifies with. Here are excerpts from a chat... 

When I say 'serial kisser' what's the first thing that comes to your mind... 
A real pain in the ass! I seriously feel that people have a myopic approach towards watching a two hour-long film and just picking up the kissing scenes. I mean its not fair to judge or rate my performance based on whether or not I have kissed in the film. I feel I have left that tag long behind. It's something I don't identify with anymore. I just find it highly amusing when people still address me by that name. 

But you've spoken about willingness to kiss on screen like no other actor... 
Yes, that's because I believe in progressive cinema. I think that a kiss isn't a big deal, it's as real as it can get. People don't go to theatres because they want to see me kiss, for that they can just log on to the internet and watch my clips. It would be a cliché to stereotype me based on the number of kisses I have done in my films. 

But your track record proves that most of your box-office successes have had kissing scenes 
Not really. I have had films like "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai" which was a success despite not having a kiss. And then there have been films where I have kissed but they didn't work at the box office. I think it's unfair to think like that, because intimate scenes are really a part and parcel of every other film. 

How do you break the ice before doing intimate scenes, do you discuss the scene? 
No, we just get to it (laughs). I mean with "Murder 2", we shot all the intimate scenes right towards the end. That's how I prefer doing it. Because by then you get to know your co-star and there's a certain level of comfort that you've developed. I had a great time working with Jacqueline, we had an awesome schedule in Goa and she's a fun person to work with. I hope the audience likes our pairing.

Aamir Khan to play a gymnast in Dhoom 3?

Aamir Khan loves to experiment with his roles and it's true that whenever he sees anything new and challenging, he goes for it. We heard the method actor is now set to play a gymnast in Yash Raj Films forthcoming flick Dhoom 3. 

As we all know Aamir plays a negative role in D3. His role offers him a challenge that he hasn't done before. D3 will have loads of action scenes for Aamir who will showcase his gymnastic skills too. Reportedly the actor has recently left his personal trainer Satyajit Chaurasia and is looking for gymnast trainer. Aamir is super excited to play his part of a gymnast and also gearing up to learn the art as soon as he finishes Reema Kagti's film.

Aamir will seek training from professional trainers. It is also believed that a trainer will be provided on the sets to help Aamir give his best shot.

It can be recalled that the 46 year old actor first got his six packs abs for his role in Ghajini. Later he lost them all for 3 Idiots and now he is all set to learn gymnastics. Aamir is indeed a perfectionist!

Azad must apologise: Celebs

For someone heading the health ministry, Ghulam Nabi Azad seems to be shockingly lacking in sex education. In 2009, he had come up with a really 'creative' idea to work on the UPA's birth control agenda. 

He'd said, "Television has one great benefit. If electricity reaches every village, people will watch television late into the night and will have no time to produce babies. I'd believe 80% of birth control will be taken care of by TV." And now, his comment, "Men having sex with men (MSM) is not only a disease but is also unnatural," has outraged people not just in the LGBT community, but beyond.

Hrithik's Agneepath postponed!

Hrithik Roshan's Agneepath has got a new release date. The film has been postponed to January 13, 2012. 

Producer Karan Johar explains the delay, saying, "I decided to postpone the film because we were fighting timelines. I didn't wish to stress Karan Malhotra, the director remaking this cult classic. We have been having very gruelling schedules. I didn't want to spoil anything for Karan and his crew by asking them to hurry through it. I have seen parts of the film, and what I saw blew my mind. That's the reason why I want to nurture it and give it the dream release it deserves. I believe anything done in haste ends up a waste. Agneepath is very special for us."

Is the remake Dharma Productions' gift to Hrithik, who celebrates his birthday on January 10? "When I postponed the film, the thought didn't strike me," says Karan. "I guess it is a happy coincidence that Agneepath will release a couple of days after his birthday."

KA DUM! 
The trade says that 2012 will be a defining year for Dharma Productions because the banner will have five releases in all, including Agneepath. Karan confirms, "2012 will be our biggest year yet. I intend to release the untitled Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan film. Then there's Student Of The Year, which I am directing. We also have Ayan Mukerji's film with Ranbir Kapoor, and Punit Malhotra's next release after I Hate Luv Storys." Buzz has it that Punit will repeat Imran as his leading man in this film as well.
"Watch this space," Karan teases, "you'll know soon enough."

Salman Khan gifts Raj Babbar a luxury car

Salman Khan known for his largesse constantly catches people by surprise. The latest is Congress Member of Parliament and actor Raj Babbar. 

Raj did Salman a favour when he agreed to step in at the nth hour as Kareena Kapoor's father in Bodyguard because another MP, Shatrughan Sinha who was to do the role of Bebo's papa, had to quit after a date clash between Bodyguard and his TV show, the Bhojpuri version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Our source says, "Raj refused to accept payment from Salman for his role. However Khan just blew the veteran actor's mind when he gifted him a high-end four wheeler on the last day of his shoot for the film." Apparently Raj was so moved by the gesture that he was in tears. 

Amitabh Bachchan gets Rana excited

Rana Daggubati can't stop raving about the Bachchan connection in his Bollywood career. After his Hindi debut with Abhishek Bachchan in "Dum Maaro Dum" the prospect of his next Bollywood film — Ram Gopal Varma's "Department" — with Amitabh Bachchan has gotten him extremely excited. 

"I couldn't be happier to get a chance to work with Big B in my second film. We will start shooting for this film soon. It's an action film set against a police backdrop," said Rana, who bonded well with Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of his first Bollywood film.

The actor who just snagged the Filmfare Award for Best Debutant Actor (Male) is on an all-time high. "I am happy that I got this award and all the credit goes to director Sekhar Kammula for coming up with this story," he says.

Rana's Tollywood career is keeping him busy too. "I just come back from Malaysia where I was shooting for "Naa Ishtam" with Genelia. It's a romcom with loads of action," he says. When asked about his Tamil film with director Selva Raghavan, Rana retorts with a "How many films do you want me to do in a year?" The actor quips, "I'm not able to do justice to the one film I'm doing a year! For now, I'm concentrating on what's on my plate."

Aamir Khan to play a gymnast in Dhoom 3?

Aamir Khan loves to experiment with his roles and it's true that whenever he sees anything new and challenging, he goes for it. We heard the method actor is now set to play a gymnast in Yash Raj Films forthcoming flick Dhoom 3. 

As we all know Aamir plays a negative role in D3. His role offers him a challenge that he hasn't done before. D3 will have loads of action scenes for Aamir who will showcase his gymnastic skills too. Reportedly the actor has recently left his personal trainer Satyajit Chaurasia and is looking for gymnast trainer. Aamir is super excited to play his part of a gymnast and also gearing up to learn the art as soon as he finishes Reema Kagti's film.

Aamir will seek training from professional trainers. It is also believed that a trainer will be provided on the sets to help Aamir give his best shot.

It can be recalled that the 46 year old actor first got his six packs abs for his role in Ghajini. Later he lost them all for 3 Idiots and now he is all set to learn gymnastics. Aamir is indeed a perfectionist!

Ram Gopal Varma seeks police intervention

Post the filmmaker was threatened by BJP for his opinion of casting Maria Susairaj in his film. 

Ram Gopal Varma is not the one to take things lying down. In spite of facing protests and angry outburst from political wings and various sections of the society, Ramu is standing by his opinion on Maria Susairaj.

After putting his point of view on national tv through various debate shows, talk shows, Ramu has now decided to seek police intervention after things are going out of hand owing to his stand on Maria Susairaj.

Today morning, Ram Gopal Varma revealed that he would seek judicial help for he has been threatened by few political leaders.

Ramu revealed, "I am on my way to Versova police station, Andheri to lodge a complaint against BJP yuva morcha president for threatening me with dire consequences."

The filmmaker retorted, "Its appalling that amongst all die hard protestors none know anything about the case and what's worse is that they don't even care about knowing."

I am settled: Lisa Ray

Two years after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the white blood cells, and about a year since declaring herself cancer free,Lisa Ray is facing the cameras again. Since her last outing, the 2009 film, " Cooking With Stella", she has undergone an intense journey of sickness, healing, and being "reborn". 

We caught up with Lisa Rani Ray (yes, that's her middle name, given to her by her dad), who will now be seen hosting the show "Oh My Gold!" (OMG) on the Travel And Living Channel (TLC). The actress was in Delhi with her partner Jason (who politely declined when we tried to pull him into the conversation, saying this was "about her"), and answered the ubiquitous when-are-you-settling-down-question saying she was, indeed, already so. Excerpts:

This is the first time you will be seen on screen after you were diagnosed and then cured. How does it feel to face the cameras once again? 
Well, that's what made it such a celebration. And that's why this series is more important to me than just a project, because even when it was offered to me and I decided to do it, it was still very early on after my stem cell transplant – my hair was still short, it was still growing, my energy was a little low – but I just felt so compelled to be a part of it because of all the ingredients. And on top of that, it's kind of neat because, as much as I love acting, this is a chance for me to share a bit more of my personality. This will be the real me on screen. And it's a way of sharing that with the Indian audience, who were also so supportive through my time, and because transparency was kind of the signature of my entire cancer journey – being honest and open – it kind of made sense that this would be my first project.

When you say transparency through your cancer journey, did you have to decide if you'd share each and every moment? 
Your blog describes everything; there's an instance of some growth in your eyes and you going to the doc to have it removed. Some wouldn't want to share such things because it's too personal, others would think, 'I don't wanna gross people out'.

So how did you decide to share it on a public platform? 
Well, first off, it didn't start off that way. I just wanted to write because it was my way of processing what I was going through. So that's how it started, I never thought anyone would actually read it.

Really? 
That wasn't my desired result, necessarily; it wasn't what I was aiming for. And secondly, I never over-thought it. I was going through a process, and it was my way of processing, and healing, and so there was no self censorship, there couldn't be. Now, however, 'coz I've come out the other end, and my health's dramatically improved and I'm doing well, I won't necessarily share all those details. But that was very specific to that period. Also because, on some level, I felt perhaps it could help someone else.

Big B at Dargah Sharif

Amitabh Bachchan visited Dargah Sharif at Ajmer this week to untie a mannat ka dhaga that he had tied 40 years ago at the mazaar when he began his career.... 

Monday morning registered an unusual surge in the number of people gathering outside the Jaipur airport. After all, Amitabh Bachchan was landing in the city. Fans were waiting to see the actor, who is on a promotional tour for his recently-released film.

Looking comfy, dressed in a jacket and trousers and a bag slung across his shoulder, Big B landed around 7.40 in the morning. Unlike many otherBollywood stars who try and sneak out of the airport, he happily waved at the fans before sitting in the car. He went straight to his hotel from where he left for Ajmer after two hours. A huge crowd greeted him at Ajmer as well. Fans eager to get a glimpse of the superstar, had even climbed the nearby trees. Amitabh spent half an hour at the dargah, offering a chaddar and prayers. He left soon after. On Sunday, the actor had written on his blog, "I plan to go to Ajmer Sharif tomorrow .. a most respected and important place of prayer... it carries the belief that if you tie a thread at the mazaar as a 'mannat', it comes true. Almost 40 years ago when I was just about to start my work as an actor in this industry, I had come to Ajmer and the Holy Place and had tied a thread on the filigree work that surrounds the main area... for long I had wanted to revisit it and untie it, as a fulfillment of that mannat. Tomorrow if all goes well I shall be able to complete it. You untie any thread, for it is difficult to find the one that one ties almost 40 years back, and that is taken as a completion of your wish. If you wish another wish you tie another thread! (sic)

Bipasha Basu's mystery man

After her split with John Abraham, Bipasha Basuwas dating Josh Hartnett for a short period. 

Not only did they shoot a Hollywood movie together, but along the way the two became more than just friends. Josh had split with his Norwegian girlfriend Sophie Lie, while Bips was newly single after her break up with John. The two took to each other instantly. But now its confirmed that Bips-Josh romance is done for good and she's moved on to some one else.

A source reveals, "Bipasha has suddenly developed a thing for white men. She's surrounded by goras these days and is serious about some one. However, she's not ready to reveal his name yet. Sources confirm that the guy is some one she bumped into during her film schedule in Russia."

Hubby not having affair: Shilpa Shetty

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has refuted reports that her marriage is in trouble, saying that she and her husband Raj Kundra are holidaying in the US. 
She also says that she is not pregnant. "First I hear am preggars (NOT true) Now I hear my husbands havin an affair from the press. Common fr papers 2 stoop low 2 sensationalise false," Shilpa posted on her Twitter page Tuesday. There were reports that Kundra had met a gorgeous lady at a hair-transplant clinic in London and later gifted the clinic assistant a European holiday.
But, the 36-year-old actress has denied the reports. "False news!grrrrrr:( 4 the record, my husband and I are holidaying in USA and r very happily married. Sorry 2 burst the newspapers bubble," she added.
