Kajol, on motherhood and more

Kajol (yes, with an 'O', the Bengali way she declares) admits she's got a bundle of energy.

So it comes as no surprise when she admits being a brat as a kid. In fact at all points in her life, the woman in her has always been vivacious...

The tomboy Kajol
"I was totally a tomboy while growing up. And a brat! Actually an angel with my mom and a devil with everyone else. That's why my mom never quite understood what others said of me being a brat that I was."

Dealing with 'rural' views
"Some years ago, when I had been to Birmingham for a show, a fan, who was an Indian, came up to me for an autograph after the show. I happened to tell him to give me a moment to change, and he gasped, asking "People in India can speak in English?" And I gave him right back that India had been ruled by the British for over 300 years!"

My most proud moment
"While many would say my most proud moment has to be when Shah Rukh and I opened theNASDAQ, but for me it's the (60th) Berlin Film Festival. I have never seen so many people from so many different races who recognised me. Hundreds stood for four hours in the snow and rain screaming for Shah Rukh and me. It made me real proud that our cinema's reached so far and beyond."
