The tagline for season 5 of "Bigg Boss", to be hosted by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt might be 'Double Vaat', fittingly enough. And the title track – the video for which will be shot soon – also packs a double punch, since it's been composed by Salman's loyalists Sajid-Wajid, and will be directed by Rohit "Golmaal" Shetty.
"The lyrics of the title track go Masti ka mela hai, full on jhamela hai, yahan teacher bhi chela hai... Bigg Boss Bigg Boss," says Wajid, who's sung this song like the tracks for the previous seasons. "The opening line of the song hasn't been finalized yet, so it might be changed. We're still deciding," he adds.
The concept for the minute-long video for the song is going to be complete "chhaprigiri", as Wajid calls it. "Chhaprigiri mean total masti. The show is high on entertainment, masti, masala and fun. Sajid and I wanted the song to be lively and foot-tapping, something that becomes an instant hit with the audience and works well with the image that Salman bhai and Sanjay have. Kya pata gaana sunte hi yeh song viewers ke cell ki ringtone ban jaaye!" says Wajid hopefully. Rohit, who's been approached to direct the video, considers it to be an "interesting challenge to direct Salman and Sanjay together." He says, "The combination is super explosive. Television has become a really big industry and it's doing everything it can to woo viewers."
Wajid says he's amazed by how lyricists Sajid and Farhad have captured the feel of the show in just 60 seconds of the song. "It wasn't easy – ek minute mein show ke baare mein bolna hai aur viewers ko impress bhi karna hai. But I have to admit that Sajid and Farhad, who have also worked with Rohit in his films, have done a great job," he says. The video will be aired in October.
Will Wajid himself be seen in the video? "Nahin nahin. I don't want to enter the space which is meant for Salman bhai and Sanjay. I'm happy about the fact that I'm associated with the show through its song. The idea of "Bigg Boss lagaega double vaat" is perfect, especially when the producers have roped in these two to host the show. This concept shall be explained through the promos, which the channel will air once it is finalised."
