Item girl breaks down on the set of her show after working for 12 hours
The rigorous working schedules in the TV industry continue to take a toll on actors. This time around, it was Rakhi Sawant's turn to be hospitalised. She was rushed to the emergency ward of a hospital a few days back. Rakhi, who's hosting a reality theme-based show, suffered physical and mental exhaustion after shooting for long hours. Rakhi collapsed on the set and was rushed to the hospital by her manager and staff. This happened after she shot an episode with warring saas-bahus. She has now asked for leave till September 20 citing personal reasons.
A source close to her reveals what happened. "Rakhi has been shooting non-stop for 13 hours for this show. She's required to shoot two episodes daily as the channel is creating a bank. As a result, she has ended up clocking close to 12 hours daily. She's not only physically exhausted but also mentally fatigued.
Saying that the nature of the show is very demanding the source adds, "She has to ask multiple questions, give advice to the participants, and it's very tiring. This has taken a toll on her health and she has been advised immediate bed rest.
Rakhi was discharged from the hospital on Friday and won't resume work till September 20. When contacted Sawant said, "I am not in a state to talk since I have just got out of the hospital.
