Vidya quits Sanjay’s movie

Vidya Balan has opted out of director Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Shootout at Wadala’. Apparently, she has had second thought after the resounding success of her recently released bold movie ‘The Dirty Picture’, where she played the historical character of Silky Smith. Now, she doesn’t feel too happy playing second fiddle to a male lead, and Sanjay Gupta has cast John Abraham in his movie. What surprises is that years ago she had agreed to work with Sanjay Gupta when she had allegedly romantic liaison with him during the making of ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’. Besides, Vidya’s opting out s surprises industry circles as Vidya had an important role of playing Manya Surve's girlfriend in Sanjay’s film based on Mumbai underworld and its producer is none other than Ekta Kapoor ( producer of ‘The Dirty Picture’)
When confronted with it, Vidya says she still wants to work with Gupta because of his filmmaking style. However, she does not want to get lost in a project crowded with a lot of men. Anyway, Vidya heaves a sigh of relief that Ekta Kapoor doesn’t mind her opting out of a movie that is being produced by Ekta herself.
