Sonam learns Tamil

Sonam Kapoor is learning Tamil to impress her director Mani Ratnam, in whose film she will be seen next. Apparently, the director was insistent that she prepare for the role in an authentic fashion! Though initially Sonam was supposed to have a professional dubbing artiste record for her, but Mani didn’t want that to be a reason for Sonam to take it easy. He wanted her to be able to understand the vocabulary, the language and its nuances while she was mouthing her lines on the sets. He thinks that’s vital if Sonam wants to get her body language and expressions in sync with her dialogue delivery.
