Apparently lead actress Kangana Ranaut lost so much weight for Krissh 3 that she looked too thin for the role in the TWM sequel
While everyone knows that the sequel to the successful film Tanu Weds Manu, starring Kangana Ranaut and Madhavan, is slated to start soon, few know that the film has already been pushed back to December 2012.
Says a source, ""Tanu Weds Manu 2 is a film that is very close to Kangana's heart and so she's very keen to do the role. But when the producers, Sunil and Krishika Lulla and directorAanand L Rai, sat down with Kangana to work out her dates they saw the actress had lost too much weight and didn't fit the character of a well-endowed north Indian girl any more. Kangana has lost almost eight kilos under her trainer for Krissh 3 as she has to perform many stunts for the film. Not just that, Kangana didn't have dates for an entire stretch as she had committed bulk dates in a month for Krissh 3 with Rakesh Roshan.""
This put the makers in a quandary as they wanted a full 60 days at a stretch from Kangana. ""Kangana too was in a fix as she had to maintain the slim and svelte look for Krissh 3 as she has to wear a tight-fitting costume. She was shooting till October for the film so there was no question of her putting on even an ounce of weight for TWM2 before that. It was then that the producers and Aanand decided that they would shoot TWM2 in December this year and set it against a winter backdrop too so that they could shoot accordingly. After Krissh 3 got complete Kangana would have ample time to put on weight also. She too was happy with the arrangements as she wouldn't have to drop out from the film which was so dear to her.""
