Last Saturday night, Rani Mukerji and beauAditya Chopra came together to help friend Vaibhavi Merchant with her sister, Shruti Merchant's dance show.
While that set tongues in B-town wagging, in about exactly a week's time, the actor, who was in Kolkata, refuted nurturing marriage plans.
Rani, in fact, had to face quite a few bouncers from Sourav Ganguly as she parked herself in the hotseat for "Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipati". Keeping a straight face, Rani owned up that her most favourite director is none other than Yash Chopra. On being prodded on marriage by the former Indiacaptain, Rani said she doesn't have immediate plans of tying the knot. Informs a source from the set, "When marriage came up as a subject of discussion, Rani said, she has left it in the hands of God.
But the actor seemed pretty keen on motherhood. She told Sourav that she secretly had the desire to learn Kathak and if she has a daughter, she'll teach her the same. Rani also let out a family secret - she complained that her mother has always been a li'l partial towards brother Rajaa." When the conversation veered towards cricket, the actor said she loves the game and that's what made "Dil Bole Hadippa!" all the more special for her. When it was time to throw a googly at Dada, Rani insisted that he join her in singing "E kya bolti tu". The reticent Sourav, who was caught on a sticky wicket, had no other option but to oblige. Chirpy girl-next-door, no wonder Rani's the queen of all hearts.
