Arbaaz Khan won't miss National Awards

A day before the winners of the 58th National Awards began arriving in the capital, Delhi was shaken by blasts.

Some events were called off, like the Delhi Cyclothon (which was scheduled for September 11). But for the National Awards ceremony tomorrow, awardees refuse to let the incident impact their plans. Arbaaz Khan, who will be receiving the award with wife Malaika, said, "I'll be there. It's a great honour to get the award from the president, and there is no reason to skip it. The unfortunate blasts did become a matter of concern.

After all, you don't simply airdrop at the venue, which will have massive security. One still is vulnerable. Had it been any other ceremony, I would've cancelled. But this is the National Awards. If the president can be there to give us the awards, we can also be there."

But Arbaaz denied the news of him planning to party in Delhi tonight. "'We've had enough to celebrate over the years and will hopefully have more. There are no plans of celebrations in Delhi."
