Adi To Re-shoot Rani’s Film

Aditya Chopra going to re-shoot an untitled Rani Mukherjee-Shahid Kapoor starrer film, which was previously directed by Anuraag Singh.
As YRF’s recent film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi didn’t worked up to expectations, the production house is getting conscious and doubly sure about their films. A Rani Mukherjee-Shahid Kapoor starrer untitled venture of YRF, which is directed by debutant director Anuraag Singh is doomed. Everybody involved in the film is unhappy with the results and now it’s decided that it will have reshot. Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra are unhappy with the 60 percent of the film.
One source said, “Anuraag Singh has been associated with Aditya Chopra for a long time and Adi was very keen to give him a film to direct. However, there have been constant reports about Adi being unhappy with the way the film was being shot. First, his lady love (Rani) objected to the ways of Singh so she was ghost-directing the film. Later, Adi and Yashji saw the film and did not approve of it. They felt that the film was not up to the YRF standards. Now that Rab Ne… has released, Adi saw the shot portions once again and feels that the film should be reshot.”
But the source added that there is no bitterness between Adi and Anuraag. “Anuraag holds Adi in high esteem and has understood his point of view. Majority of the portions will be reshot now.”
On the other hand, Aashish Singh, VP productions YRF, said, “Not True. There is no re-shooting. The shootings are happening on schedule.”
In the film, Rani is playing a role of a cricket enthusiast. She is obsessed with the sport so much that can go to any level to play it. Her obsession leads in such a way that she becomes a Sardar and enters in a male cricket team.
