I’m not a Casanova, says Ranveer Singh

For the past one year, actors Ranveer Singhand Anushka Sharma have been in news, more for their on and off relationship than the work they've done. And now, after setting the screen on fire with their latest flick, "Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl", Ranveer and Anushka field some questions to set the record straight.
Let's ask you 'the' question - are you guys dating?
Ranveer: She is a very good friend. Like I've said earlier, I confide in her. I look up to her and I think she's incredible. Whenever we get time, we catch up, go out for a movie or grab a meal. But beyond that, there is no relationship.

Anushka: You actually think I'll date him? Right now he's sitting here and doing all this sweet talk, next thing you know, he's chatting with another bunch of girls. We both are poles apart.
So what sort of a relationship do you both share?
Ranveer: She is a very trustworthy friend and I can share just about anything with her. I love everything about her. She is independent, witty and beautiful. Even though there are a lot of things that are annoying about her, par mujhe woh sab cheezein bhi pyaari lagti hain.

Is there friendship or competition when you both work together?
Ranveer: No. There is no competition with Anushka. I submit and surrender.

Anushka: I think yes. There is competition between us, in the sense that we both always try to outdo each other. Actually, we fight like siblings - always trying to be the best.
You again played a Casanova in this movie, and ever since your debut, you're taken to be a flirt. Is Ranveer a real life Casanova?
Ranveer: When you play a character, there has to be a large amount of yourself in it for it to appear convincing. So, I guess there is one similarity between me and Ricky that we both find it very easy to talk to women. I can make women trust me and make them believe that my intentions are good. But I'm not a Casanova. I used to be one when I was a teenager, but not anymore. Ever since I started working, I've become sabhya and sushil.

Anushka: I don't buy that. Ranveer is a conman in real life too. "Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl" should have been his debut movie. He is exactly like that.
A lot is being said about your clothes (in this movie) and weight (in general). What do you have to say about that?
Anushka: Major portions of the movie were shot near the beaches in Goa, so my clothes in the movie are merely situational. And I don't know what the big fuss about my weight is. I have a certain body type and I am naturally thin. If I don't exercise I start to lose weight. In fact, the other day, I was talking to Imran (Khan) and he too said that if he doesn't eat enough and doesn't go to the gym, he starts losing weight. I'd like to tell all those concerned about my weight that I'm extremely healthy. I work 15-16 hours everyday and it's not possible to work that much if you are not healthy. So calm down and have a burger!

Ranveer: Have a burger, ice cream, everything.
And Ranveer, what is your exercise regime like? Girls are drooling over your six-pack.
Anushka: I'll answer that. Ranveer used to do yoga before every shot. His favourite yogasana was Kapalbhati which he used to do to calm his nerves and look good onscreen. I feel Ranveer has grown as an actor tremendously and that was visible through his many roles in this movie. This time around, he seemed more relaxed.
