All about the action

Since I was a kid, I have always froze when I saw an action star perform a stunt defying the parametres of safety and fear. Back in the 80s filmmakers would freeze moments when an action star would leap or jump from a tall building just to tell us that it was the star who did it and not his duplicate. And then I became an actor myself and got the chance to work with some incredible actors who specialised in doing action cuts....but most of the times I got to witness an underplayed version of their courage where most of the stunts would be handled by their duplicates. That between includes me as well. Only recently I was shooting with Suniel Shetty (Anna as I call him)...and as the bad guy I had to chase him while he is on the speed boat and I come flying on a para sail. Anna then had to leap on to me and both of us had to fly over the sea with him hanging and clutching my legs. The action director had it all worked out with the stunt duplicates and it was a regular day of shooting on the deck of a boat . Anna was busy playing pranks as usual when suddenly he called out to me and said, "Mukul ye shot karega mere saath'?" The next thing I knew I was being strapped on to the para sail and took off. After completing one circuit I came lower to the deck and that when Anna lept and grapped my legs. Now it was the two of us in tandemn flying 200 ft above the mean sea level at a speed of 100 kms. It was dangerous for Anna as he was closer to the water and at that speed the water can be as impactful as hard cement. To say the least I was shitting bricks....but then I looked down and saw an absolutely unperturbed Anna enjoying himself like a little kid and that's when it struck me...what the hell...I am with one of the finest action stars of the country...and this is the action star moment I had been wanting to see all my life. It was truly unforgettable.
