It's a tradition in the Khan household to welcome aGanesha idol during the festive season for a day-and-a-half. Salman Khan ensures that these idols are eco-friendly.
This time around, he will also urge people to go green via a series of T-shirts that will have messages urging people to bring home eco-friendly Ganeshas and do their bit for the environment. Reveals a source, "Salman wants to make people aware that it is easy to go green. He wants to incorporate his slogans and ideas onto his Being Human line of T-shirts. Since his merchandising line has been successful, he feels it is important to give back to society through any means possible."
Apart from distributing T-shirts, he also plans to touch upon the subject whenever he travels to promote his next film Bodyguard. "This is the first time he's actually advocating a cause he believes in. He feels the Ganpati festival is a great time to raise the issue of being eco-friendly."
