Minissha, Vijender Singh at Casino Royale

The World Gaming Festival's inaugural chapter will be held at a live gaming casino aboard a ship docked in Goan waters.

Boxer Vijender Singh and actor Minissha Lambaare all set to add glamour to the fun and games at the inaugural World Gaming Festival presented by the Casino Royale, Goa.

A record number of entries have been received since the festival was announced earlier this month. Five skill-based games will be played onboard the casino on a ship from September 23-26. Players will compete for a total bounty of Rs 5 crore in the following games: Texas Hold'em Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, Indian Flush and Baccarat.

Notes Vijender, a regular at Casino Royale, "When skill supersedes luck, it becomes a sport. This tournament is different from gambling in many ways. As a new concept, it will surely be a superb experience."

"I am extremely excited about the WGF being held in India. I can't wait to be in Goa for the festival," says Minissha.

Casino Royale is providing the registered players free airfare, five-star accommodation, meals, transfers and entry to the hottest parties. Delta Corp Ltd and Percept Ltd jointly own the WGF intellectual property. The aim is to take the format global.
