Delhi boy Haarsh Nagar is the new brand ambassador for the Rotary Club of India
Capital Connection
He's lived in Noida for three years, his family is based in Delhi and just a month ago, Haarsh Nagar shot for a Bollywood flick in the capital. Now, he's forged another bond with the city - he wants to work to save the environment in the city and surrounding areas. Haarsh, who was part of SRK's "Always Kabhi Kabhi", will soon be seen in Yash Raj's "Mujhse Fraandship Karoge", and he has also done a French film.
Meri Awaaz Suno
Haarsh has been appointed the brand ambassador of the Rotary Club of India, and when he was recently in Delhi to talk about his association, he told us, "I've known the secretary, Ajay Gupta, for 10 years; he's a family friend. When we were shooting for Suhaib Ilyasi's "A Wedding Gift" in Delhi recently, he told me about the work that Rotary clubs do. I only knew about their blood donation camps, but he told me that they work for the environment too." And now, Haarsh will be working with them in areas like Noida and Greater Noida. "Since I've lived in Noida in Sector 19 A for three years, I know a bit about the place and its issues. Now, we will be working for the betterment of the area. Taking care of the environment is a cause close to my heart," he says.
Family First
But now that Haarsh lives in Mumbai, he says he barely gets time to spend with his family. And whatever opportunity he gets, he grabs it with both hands. Says Haarsh, "I now live in Mumbai and really miss spending time with my family in Delhi. While I was shooting for "A Wedding Gift", I really had a good time. I even met my neighbours and it feels great when people talk about your work. Even the club's activities will give me an opportunity to be in Delhi. So, in the day, I can do all my work and at night, I can spend time with my mom and brother!" he says happily.
